Semanti Datta
Semanti is a second-year MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with intended concentrations in Analytic Finance and International Business.  In between years at Booth, Semanti was an intern at Brandes Investment Partners, a value-focused investment fund based out of San Diego.  Before attending Business School, she was as Associate at Metalmark Capital, a middle-market private equity firm (AUM $3.0 billion) formerly known as Morgan Stanley Capital Partners.  Prior to Metalmark Capital, she was an Analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group at Goldman Sachs & Co.  Ms. Datta received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 with concentrations in Finance and Marketing.  She grew up in the Philippines and Switzerland but was born in Kolkata, India.

David Meats
David is a second-year MBA student at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, concentrating in accounting and analytical finance. He began his career as a geophysicist for an independent oil exploration company in London, and continued this role at the major European oil company Eni SpA. David is now focused on security selection and spent the summer as an equity research associate at Morgan Stanley. To complement his academic studies, David is pursuing his CFA designation and intends to take the level II exam in summer 2012.

Maksim Piskunov
Maks is a second-year MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business concentrating in Finance and Entrepreneurship.  Over the summer he interned with T. Rowe Price in London, UK covering international equities.  Prior to business school, Maks spent three years at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board as an Associate Portfolio Manager in a variety of roles spanning minority investments (PIPES), control investments (infrastructure and private equity), and hedge funds (sector-neutral activist strategy).  Maks began his career with McKinsey and Company after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Economics.  He has passed all three levels of the CFA examination.  

Christopher Santore
Chris is a second-year MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with intended concentrations in Analytic Finance and Economics.  After completing his first year Chris interned at PIMCO as a Product Manager in Mortgages and Absolute Return.  Prior to business school, Chris spent four years at Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company, LLC (PAAMCO), a $10bn fund of hedge funds. Chris graduated from UCLA in 2006 with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Mathematics.  As an undergraduate, Chris completed internships at the White House and the Office of The Secretary of Defense.  Chris holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Eric Webster
Eric is a second-year MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business concentrating in Analytic Finance and Economics.  Prior to Booth, Eric was an Associate at LitiNomics, Inc., a firm specializing in economic litigation consulting with an emphasis on intellectual property infringement cases.  At LitiNomics, Eric prepared expert testimony and damages analysis for cases relating to the telecommunications, software, and technology industries.  Prior to that, Eric worked at Charles River Associates, where his analysis focused on the calculation of economic damages arising from class-action securities fraud, merger & acquisition disputes, and accounting misstatement cases.  During his first summer at Chicago Booth, Eric interned with the equity research team at Franklin Templeton Investments.  Eric graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a BS in Biophysics, and a BA in Economics, and is a CFA Charterholder.
